An import confirmation screen allows you to review the transfer created by the file import, which will open an editing screen, or you can process the transaction. Process will begin the validation process. Select the next step, and Finish.

Import Wire Using New Template

For wires that are in a non-FED formatted file, such as comma delimited text documents, importing can be accomplished using the Import Wire Using Template feature. You have several options when working with templates. You can use an existing template, create a new template, or delete templates that are no longer in use. Existing templates are forms you have saved from previous transfers, which already have information about your company and account contained in the form. A new template is one that starts with a blank form and all your information is inserted where it is needed. To create a new template, select the option and Submit. You'll then select the location of the file you wish to import and continue. Next, you'll determine the details for your import template: the wire transfer type, a description of the template, and the parameters that allow your file information to be mapped to the template, such as the number of header and footer rows contained in the file that need to be excluded from import. A preview of your file allows you to check whether column headers or footers were exported by your application. Column headers are the labels that were on your original spreadsheet such as name, address, routing number, etc. If the data file shows these labels, you'll want the row excluded from the import. If not, the import will start with the first row appearing in the file. You will also choose whether to insert a decimal into amounts and select whether a delimiter was used, along with the type of delimiter. Next, choose your field definitions. This is a process where you match the data in your file to the fields in your form. It's often referred to as data mapping. To map your file to the form, determine the type of information, for example, beneficiary name contained in each column. If the first column in your file is beneficiary name, you would select that field name from the drop down. Now, the column in your file that contains each beneficiary name is matched to the field in the form that carries the same information. Keep in mind that your data file may have columns that are not needed by the template. The field dropdown allows you to exclude that column from import. Once you have correlated each column in your file to a field in your template form, your data is fully mapped. If you have more columns than the template selection displays, you can apply any additional values to the file, which creates a new field selector. Finally, choose the account from which the funds will be drawn. This account information will be added to the file. The next screen allows you to check that your file data is mapped to the template. Each template form field should display a notice that the data is contained within the file. Select Next. You'll see a display of the template field, mapped to the content of a file record. If the information displayed does not match the field, you will need to map the data to fix the incorrect correlations. If the mapping of the data is correct, with the correct type of data appearing in each field, Select All, and click Next. The wire transfer will be displayed. You can save the transfer for processing at another time, review it, or process the wire transfer immediately. Then Finish. You'll receive a confirmation number showing that the file was successfully imported.

Import Wire Using Existing Template

To import a wire using an existing template select that option, then Submit. Point to the location of your file and choose a template from the dropdown. The system will once again display your data mapping. Check for missing or incorrect fields, then select Next. A mapped record will be displayed. If the data is correctly correlated to the template fields, select Next. The wire transfer will be displayed. You can save the transfer for processing at another time, review it, or process the wire transfer immediately. Then, Finish. You'll receive a confirmation number showing that the file was successfully imported. Select Done.
